A Spiritual Response to the Election
January 22 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
The recent presidential election brought a host of feelings and reactions for many here at Grace, including painful awareness of our country’s deep divisions, gladness at the outcome and grief at the outcome, and worries about the future.
As the body of Christ, Grace is a place of welcome for all, regardless of the candidate you supported. And we, as a church, have a role play to fostering dialogue and creating brave spaces for compassion, community and justice-seeking. A small group is forming to create a sturdy, safe environment to process our emotions in this season as well contemplate our Christian witness in these times.
Christ’s call to us now is as it always has been: to love justice, show compassion, speak truth, protect the vulnerable, and love our neighbor as ourselves.
The group will gather on Tuesday, December 10th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. with additional meetings planned for January 7th and 21st.
Rev. Amy and Dr. Ann Kaiser Stearns will serve as conveners.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Rev. Amy to sign up.
