Christmas Caroling at Edenwald
On Sunday, December 22 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., the Grace youth and the Chancel Choir will lead a caroling time at Edenwald Senior Living, where we will share some holiday cheer with residents, which include many Grace Church members.
All are welcome! Meet in the Edenwald lobby at 2:00 p.m. Edenwald is located at 800 Southerly Road, Towson, MD.
If you’d like to join and/or carpool, contact Chris Schroeder.
Family Fun at Home
On Sunday December 22 we host “Family Fun at Home.” Grab a handful of gumdrops, a cupful of icing and a fistful of candy canes. Invite family and friends for an afternoon of decorating and holiday joy.
If you wish to join the fun, purchase your gingerbread House kit, gather the family and begin to design and decorate. Then take a picture of the final product.
Bring your photos to the Christmas Eve service or you may email them to Carolyn Young and your photos will be posted on the Sunday School bulletin board.
Christmas Eve Worship
We celebrate Christ’s birth with two services on December 24:
4:00 p.m. Family Service
9:00 p.m. Candlelight Service
The Family Service features a retelling of the Christmas story, with carols, short sermon, and Holy Communion. This service is designed for all ages. The Festival Service includes carols, scripture and sermon, music from the Chancel Choir and special instrumentalists, and Holy Communion.
The nursery is available during the 4:00 p.m. service only. Both services will be live-streamed.
Christmas Season Worship
On Sunday, December 29 at 10:00 a.m., we will rejoice and bask in the fulfillment of God’s promises.
This year Grace is trying a new practice: a Christmas breakfast and informal worship. We’ll gather in the Fellowship Hall for a potluck meal. Over food and around tables, we will sing our favorite Christmas carols, read scripture and pray together.
Bring your favorite Christmas dish to share! And if you’d like, wear your favorite holiday sweater.
Thank you to the Worship Committee and chair, Michael Tan, for their creative leadership in this new service.
Epiphany Choral Concert
On Sunday, January 5 at 3:00 p.m., the Chancel Choir and the Carrollton Brass will conclude our Christmas season with a concert featuring the music of Christmas and Epiphany. Make plans to attend this free concert that will feature the beautiful musical sounds of our choir and a brass quintet and timpani.
